I’ve been there. Empty. Lost. Broken.
Thankfully, I found the right answer.
I found HIM.
Hi, I’m Rachel.
At 27, I suffered a massive stroke & was a functioning alcoholic. I survived both, but I nearly lost everything—my marriage, my family, my future.
I’m standing here today because Christ saved me—from addiction, from my past, from myself. I fell countless times, but Jesus never left me. He was there, even in my darkest moments.
If you’re hurting, if you need help, I know the One who can rescue you. Keep reading to hear more.

Good Samaritan helped me break my alcohol addiction & replaced it with the love of Christ. If you or a loved one struggles with any addiction, click here to get help.
The world is a broken place, full of broken lives. My prayer is that my testimony would lead others to Christ—the One who loves you deeply. If you find yourself in a dark place, know this: there is hope. Seek Him, & He will answer. Let the light God placed within you shine. It won’t always be easy, but His peace & salvation are worth everything.

Meet Katherine.
She was working, married & a mother when she had a massive stroke. Her life was changed instantly. She’s disabled but her story is truly powerful. She has a remarkable perspective on how awful things happen, but she never wavered in her faith in Jesus. She is my hero. Now, she runs a Christian nonprofit, Hope Heals. She does speaking events, author of multiple books & the founder of the Hope Heals Camp. To hear her story & info about her program, visit Hope Heals today.
Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me— now let me rejoice. Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. - Psalms 51:8-10
